Female artist Paige Bradley works. She explained the inspiration of the sculpture in this way, “From the moment we were born, the world seems to have set a space for us just to accommodate us: social security number, gender, race and even IQ level. I think life is often affected by these things. Limited, not determined by our inner self. If we go beyond these frameworks, can we still know ourselves? If we are not limited by anything, will we still exist?”

 

03.”The Knotted Gun” Turtle Bay, New York, USA

This is a black bronze pistol sculpture with a knot on the barrel. This is a gift from Luxembourg to the United Nations in 1988 and stands in the garden of the United Nations headquarters. It means stopping wars and prohibiting killings, and it also expresses people’s yearning for peace.

Global warming is a global problem. The artist Isaac Cordal expressed it in the water, meaning that this climate problem has seriously threatened the survival of mankind and has reached the final stage that has to be resolved.

It was created by Hungarian artist Owen Lorance Helvi. Named “Popped Up”, it depicts a giant crawling from the ground. It also represents a symbol of freedom, desire to break free, curiosity and motivation for development.

Ukrainian artist Nazar Bilyk used bronze and glass to create this stunning sculpture called “Rain”. When the character looked up at the sky, huge raindrops hung on the character’s face. The work has multiple meanings, including representing the subtle relationship between man and nature. The whole work is six feet high. The sculpture looks up to the sky, as if thinking or longing for something.

 

09.”Black Ghost” Klaipeda, Lithuania

This is a bronze sculpture with a ghostly outline that looks like it has just rolled out of the water from the shoreline. This sculpture is based on local mythology. According to folklore, if you treat ghosts kindly, wealth will come to you.

 

10.”Iron Shoes” Budapest

These shoe sculptures were created by Can Togay to commemorate the Holocaust. In January 1945, Jews persecuted by the Hungarian “Arrow Cross” were asked to take off their shoes and jump into the river before they died. This is the eternal scar from war, which is shocking.
